What is the difference between Event and Program?

An Event is the first step on a continuum of events, or what Rudy calls a "gateway.

An Event is autism-only, and may happen only once a year.

A Program is autism-only, and more regular, structured, and engaging.

I also use another category:

An Inclusive Event or Program welcomes other people with and sometimes without disability. Is not autism-only, but still provides support for individuals with autism.

Event            Program           Inclusive Events & Programs

One way to think of this range of programs is as a "Continuum of Experiences"*

A similar concept is being used in Special Education at public schools.
